Diane Ivey is a writer and storyteller, currently living in Washington, D.C.

From a self-composed how-to guide on being an adventure heroine, to an obsessive college crush on the vaguely-Harrison-Ford-resembling editor of her college newspaper, to sundry forays into erotic historical fanfiction, Diane’s material comes from the tragic yet hilarious place where fangirl obsession meets real life.

Though she grew up in Michigan, holding prestigious jobs such as intern for the Mackinac Island Town Crier, Diane moved to Washington, D.C. in 2010 to pursue a career in anything-but-journalism. While performing in the D.C. chapter of Mortified, she met S.m. Shrake and Cathy Alter and became one of the founding members of Story League. Diane has also performed in Baltimore, Chicago, New York, and Philadelphia, where she holds the title of “Best Storyteller in Philly” after winning the Fall 2012 First Person Arts Grand Slam.
